Kids Zone Safety Guide for Parents: What to Know
A plain-language guide to how the Novareka kids zone protects children aged 6–10: no ads, no accounts, no tracking, parent-only controls and easy deletion.
Before a child uses anything online, a parent should know what it collects, who can talk to them and what happens if something goes wrong. This guide explains how the Novareka kids zone is set up for children aged 6–10, in plain words, and what you can do as a grown-up to stay in control.
What the kids zone is
The kids zone is a separate part of Novareka designed for children aged 6–10. It uses the same interactive 3D labs as the rest of the site, but with simpler worlds, shorter goals and a calmer layout.
Everything about it is built around one idea: a child should be able to explore science without becoming a data source. The rest of this guide explains what that means in practice.
What is not there
- No ads. Nothing in the kids zone is advertising to your child.
- No analytics. The kids zone does not measure what children do.
- No third-party scripts or pixels. A Content-Security-Policy, a rule the browser enforces, blocks outside code from loading. This is a technical guard, not only a promise.
- No accounts for children. A child does not sign up or log in.
- No messaging, public profiles or social sharing. There is nobody for a child to talk to and nothing for them to post.
Children never give a name, email, photo or location. There are simply no boxes asking for them.
Where progress is kept
Without a Family plan, progress stays on that device only. It is not sent to us, and it is not attached to a person. The trade-off is that progress does not follow your child to a different tablet or browser, and clearing the browser's data can reset it.
With a Family plan, a parent can create up to four kid profiles. Each profile holds only:
- an optional nickname, chosen by the parent
- an age band (6–8 or 9–11)
- an avatar
- completed levels
That is the whole list. It does not hold a photo, a surname, a school or a location.
The grown-up check
Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-up check, so a curious child cannot wander into them by accident. This keeps decisions about money and account settings with the adult, where they belong.
It is worth saying out loud to your child, too: "If a screen ever asks you for a name, a photo or money, stop and come and find me." That habit is useful far beyond this site.
Your controls as a parent
Parents can review and delete a profile and its progress at any time. Nothing is hidden from you, and deleting is not a request you have to make and wait for.
Read the two official pages for the exact wording:
- Kids privacy: what is and is not collected.
- The grown-ups page: how profiles, the grown-up check and the Family plan work.
Policies change, so those pages are the source of truth. If anything here differs from them, trust the pages.
Questions parents often ask
Can my child talk to other people in the kids zone?
No. There is no messaging, there are no public profiles, and nothing can be shared socially. A child can only explore the worlds.
What if my child shares a device with a sibling?
Without a Family plan, progress stays on the device, so siblings will share it. With a Family plan, each child can have their own kid profile, so levels and avatars stay separate.
What should I do if I want everything removed?
You can review and delete a profile and its progress at any time. If you only used the kids zone without a plan, clearing the site data in the browser removes what is stored on that device.
Is it a good idea to sit with my child?
Yes, at least at first. It makes the experience better and it lets you see for yourself how the kids zone behaves, which is the best safety check there is.
A short safety routine for any child app
The kids zone aims to make most of this unnecessary, but the habits transfer to everything else your child uses:
- Sit with your child for the first session.
- Check whether the app asks for any personal information.
- Keep payments and settings behind your own check.
- Talk about what they did afterwards.
- Review what is stored from time to time, and delete what you do not need.
For a first session, try A spinning Earth together.
What these simulations are
All the labs are simplified teaching models. They are made to spark questions and build early intuition, not to be a complete science course and not to replace outdoor play, books or experiments with a grown-up. A little screen time, chosen carefully and followed by a chat, is a good place to start.
- No ads, no analytics and no third-party scripts, enforced by a Content-Security-Policy.
- Children never give a name, email, photo or location, and have no accounts.
- Without a Family plan, progress stays on that device only.
- Parents can review and delete a profile and its progress at any time.
